A blue button appears in the centre of the pictures which you can move to the left [allowing you to see the complete top picture] or to the right [allowing you to see the complete bottom picture]. I have eventually found a set of instructions on how to solve a slider puzzle 1-8. By following these instructions even larger puzzles can be solved.
